I suppose those LEDs may light up amber or red , this making them legal, but even if they are, they just don’t look good to me.

I wonder if they were trying to match them to the body color of the car? If on a black or red car they’d look supremely terrible.
Now, how do you feel about these?

GT but not a GT

So much nope.

From the rear: hmmm
From the rear quarter: what the hell?

That looks like an only marginally less-shitty FF rear end.

Ick. Looks cheesy to me.
Basically this generations version of those blue dot taillights that were common many years ago.

I guess they’re not horrible. But I feel they have less character than what they replace. And that they’re trying too hard to look like a Ferrari. I’m not a big fan of modding to emulate another car.

Kinda looks like compound bug eyes. Basically the worst application of LEDs I could have picked for this car.

Was trying to think of an accurate description but you nailed it.

And that’s unfortunate, because it means that image is in my brain.

They look like good old-fashioned cigarette lighters.

That’ll keep you up at night.

Unless they have a valid DOT number on them then they’re not legal.

FWIW it’s the Ford GT they’re trying to emulate. Saw one of these on the road the other day. Stunning.

That’s why there’s scotch.

I didn’t check, but they’re not exactly subtle. So someone in a uniform is likely to eventually check for him.

Oh, okay. Yeah. That somehow makes it sadder in my mind.

at least it’s the same brand, I guess.

I doubt it. At least here in California CHP seems to be the only agency that even trains its officers on DOT stuff, and even then, only a few officers even care.

I guess. I don’t know how I missed that, though. For some reason, my brain just skipped right to the F12 tail lights and missed the obvious.

Here is Dallas, the officers that care are the ones whose attention you draw. Actually, it’s the constables that will most likely go after this, rather than the DPD. Still, you’re right that it’s not the most important things on their minds.
Still, white tail and brake lights are a hazard that should draw a fine.

Well the GT and F12 have basically the same taillight design - though that circular taillight goes back a loooooong way with Ford.

The GT lights are awful. But, if I’m being totally honest, there are much worse out there. Still awful, though.

The mustang shape is more F12 than GT do I get it. With the round lights it does end up pretty wannabe Ferrari

looks okay to me.

Oh good. Glad I’m not the only one who sees it.

Great for communicating with any aliens that may be tailing you, at least.

I dont totally hate them, they’re definitely unique and not super over the top like some/most aftermarket lights. However the stock 3D lights were done just so well it’s a shame they’re sitting in a box waiting to be sold on eBay.

Actually, awful was too strong a word, but I don’t like them on the Mustang. I rather like the stock tail lights as well.
